Ruben Verresen

Harvard University

Ruben Verresen completed his undergraduate studies at KULeuven in his home country of Belgium, after which he earned master degrees at the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics and the University of Cambridge. His PhD work at the Max-Planck-Institute for the Physics Complex Systems and the Technical University of Munich focused on the theory of strongly-interacting matter from the perspective of tensor networks, topological states and quantum dynamics, for which he was awarded the Otto Hahn Medal in 2021. He is currently a joint Postdoctoral Fellow at Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he works on the interplay between emergent phenomena in many-body quantum systems, quantum information theory, and experimental realizations.
